FFKR Architects is collaborating with university officials to develop the program and design for a new student housing complex. The complex will provide housing, in a variety of units, for 960 students. In addition to housing units, the facility will integrate student gathering and study areas, administration areas, extra storage spaces, music rooms, and a convenience store. Underground parking is also being considered; The steeply sloping site could provide an advantage for this potential element of the complex. Special attention has been paid to the context of the buildings and site lines to other features on campus. The FFKR team has provided and updated massing models as the schematic phase progresses using software such as SketchUp and Revit.
