This Temple is a modern structure that was conceived from the ground up as a unique new design, required specifically for this site and location. FFKR worked closely with the design architects in the Architecture department of the LDS Church in conceiving this new temple. The program was generated in a response to deliver a smaller temple than has previously been seen in Utah.
The temple design reflects a radial design with the Celestial Room at the heart of the building being expressed vertically through the upright design of the central building massing and tower crowning overhead; topped by a gold leafed statuary angel iconic to LDS temples. The art glass windows are generously located throughout emphasizing the vertical nature of the building and contrasting the large massing that grounds the corners of the building. The exterior is clad in a soft gray granite with intricate detailing and workmanship. The craftsmanship is carried throughout the interiors with the use of granites, exotic woods, and fine textiles that complement the intuitive interior furnishings design.
