BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY, PROVO, UTAH
Located at the heart of Brigham Young University’s campus, the 290,000-square-foot Joseph F. Smith Building is a focal point of student activity. Nearly every student who graduates from BYU will attend a class in this building.
The building is organized around a central courtyard that gives natural light to interior spaces. The courtyard space flows through the gallery to the plaza surrounding the building.
Each classroom, lecture room, teaching lab and computer lab is supported by state-of-the-art audio, visual and communications technology, and is equipped with infrastructure to accommodate future advances in technology.
