Jordan Commons Parking Structures
Sandy, Utah
Flanking both sides of the ten story Jordan Commons Office Tower are two 1,000+ stall parking structures. The design intent was to nestle these massive structures lower into the site to allow patrons a nearly unobstructed view of facilities at Jordan Commons. The three level parking structures are open on four sides, allowing for natural light and ventilation at even the lower levels. This is accomplished with landscaped natural stone terraces around the structures. The structures are constructed with post tension concrete decks and precast spandrel panels with steel cable guard rails. Landscaped planters at the corners and within the parking scheme soften the concrete parking decks. The slopped central bay design creates a well-defined central circulation. The lighting and signage are designed to make these parking structures safe and attractive.
