Congratulations Roger, this year’s AIA Utah’s Bronze Medal recipient! This honor recognizes his lasting contribution to the profession and architectural community.
Roger believes architecture really is about the people who live in, work in, and inhabit the buildings. His nearly 40-year career has focused on traditional design, and he is a sought-after expert.

Roger has made a significant contribution to architectural practice in the architectural community in Utah. With his technical expertise, historical knowledge, and enhanced comprehension of space, he has influenced the design and construction of numerous buildings, shaping the spaces we inhabit in Salt Lake City and abroad. He has a unique ability to effortlessly communicate his thoughts through the simple tools of pen, ink, and paper. This talent has led to several collaborative partnerships within the design community and gained him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and emerging professionals.

With a distinct tone of thoughtfulness, he has led FFKR through several years of successful practice. He has also found the time to work on several AIA endeavors, including his current work bringing together FAIA members in the Intermountain West to collaborate and plan events to enhance the community at large.
