On Thursday, October 1, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for Convergence Point, the centerpiece building of The Point development. The ceremony was led by Jefferson Moss, Commissioner, Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and CEO, Nucleus Institute, with speakers including Governor Spencer Cox, Speaker Mike Schultz, Senator Mike McKell, USHE Commissioner Geoff Landward, and Nucleus Institute COO Angela Smith. Convergence Point is planned as a shared front door for Utah’s innovation community. The building is scheduled to open in early 2029. Architectural design by FFKR Architects and Gensler Design.
