Stephen Nielson is a Senior Associate at FFKR Architects. His first introduction to FFKR and their work was in the fifth grade when his elementary class toured the Symphony Hall (design by FFKR) before it opened to the public. He decided then that he wanted to be an architect to create inspiring and beautiful buildings. Stephen enjoys the high-level innovative, iconic, and functional design work at FFKR and makes every effort to see a project through down to the last detail. He understands that part of the passion for great design is a group effort to help everyone succeed. He leads the firm's Mentorship Opportunity that connects emerging professionals with senior staff for personal and firm-wide growth.

Stephen is a student in the creative process of cooking, music, film, and arts. He enjoys hiking and being with his wife and four children.
