Salt Lake City International Airport Landscape Architecture

FFKR was hired as the Landscape Architect of Record for all landscape improvements for 42 acres associated with the Terminal Redevelopment project. FFKR’s responsibilities included Design Development through Construction Administration.

The design for the landscape is based on the concept of transitioning from the Great Basin aesthetic to a man-made abstraction of the distant views of the Wasatch Mountains, then moving into an interpretation of a more urban environment at the terminal, which then transitions back to the existing Great Basin aesthetic through the exit drive.

Design development was completed in October 2014 with completion in 2017.
