In collaboration with Signet Health, the Oasa Behavioral Health Hospital in Fort Worth is the first site of a new freestanding behavioral healthcare facility prototype. The design allows for adaptation to and construction in several locations to expand the delivery of mental health services to communities where it is currently undeserved. The design focuses on creating a therapeutic environment, while minimizing risk, reducing opportunities for harm, and providing a safe space for psychiatric patients. The goal is to help normalize mental health care and reduce the stigma around psychiatric facilities by creating warm, welcoming, and beautiful spaces.
