Ken Louder joined FFKR in August 1976 as an intern architect, hired by Frank Ferguson. Over the course of a 37-year career with the firm, he rose to Principal and ultimately served as President/CEO from 1989 until his retirement in 2013. Throughout his tenure, Ken played a significant design role on many of FFKR's landmark projects, including the interiors of Abravanel Hall and the Arts Center — where he configured the wall and ceiling panels in Symphony Hall to meet acoustic requirements — as well as the Libby Gardner Concert Hall, the Tanner School of Business Management at BYU, the American Express Travelers Cheque Operations Center, Holt Elementary School, the COMPRI Hotel prototype for Doubletree Hotels, the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics, Miller Motorsports Park, and the Contender Bicycles remodel. He also led planning and programming for "Project Jubilee" with the Episcopal Diocese of Utah.
Ken is recognized as Principal Emeritus in honor of his nearly four decades of leadership and design contributions to FFKR.
